Lunsar Cycling

Lunsar Cycling is West Africa’s premier grassroots cycling movement​,​ based in a vibrant mining town in Sierra Leone. Founded in 2013 by mechanic Abdul Karim Kamara​,​ it has grown into the nation's largest club​,​ empowering youth and hosting Sierra Leone’s largest female cycling team. We host the annual Tour de Lunsar​,​ proudly known as "West Africa’s noisiest bike race." This exhilarating multi-day event features elite men's​,​ women's​,​ and junior races. Backed by global brands and drawing top international competitors​,​ we blend elite athletic ambition with an unforgettable community festival of roaring crowds and rich local culture.
