Cole Street is a restaurant in Murray Town​,​ one of Freetown's older neighbourhoods​,​ where Chef Miatta Marke has cooked since November 2021. The kitchen is built on Sierra Leonean food — the Creole​,​ West African and European lines that run through family recipes​,​ cooked from what the markets and the sea provide — and turns to other cuisines for special events. It occupies a mid-twentieth-century house that belonged to Lati Hyde-Forster MBE​,​ the first Sierra Leonean woman to earn a bachelor's degree. Seating is by reservation only. National Geographic named Cole Street one of the twenty-one best restaurants in the world in 2024.
