About FAMBUL GLOBAL

FAMBUL GLOBAL offers curated, multi-day cultural travel experiences to select destinations across Africa and the diaspora. Experiences typically include accommodation, scheduled activities, guided tours, and event access. FAMBUL GLOBAL operates as an independent travel experience provider and works in partnership with third-party vendors and local service providers.

1. Eligibility

All guests must be at least 21 years of age at the time of booking. Minors are not permitted to participate in FAMBUL GLOBAL trips.

2. Booking and Payment

All bookings must be made via our official platform: www.fambulglobal.com.

All prices are listed and payable in U.S. Dollars.

Full payment is required at the time of booking. We do not accept deposits or installment plans.

Bookings are not confirmed until full payment has been received.

If your payment fails or is reversed, your booking will be automatically cancelled.

For your protection, we recommend making payment by credit card where possible, as this may provide you with additional consumer protections under your card issuer’s policies. All payments must still be made through our official platform.

3. Room Bookings and Transfer Policy

FAMBUL GLOBAL offers two types of room configurations: private rooms and shared double occupancy rooms.

Shared Rooms: Must be booked with a pre-arranged partner such as a friend, relative, or colleague.

We do not pair solo travelers with strangers.

Transfers: Private room bookings may be transferred to another individual with prior written approval.

Shared room transfers require the written consent of both original guests.

No booking changes will be accepted that result in a new, unapproved pairing.

4. Guest Information and Documentation

Guests must provide all required personal information (passport details, emergency contacts, insurance proof, medical disclosures) no later than 30 days prior to departure.

Failure to provide these details may result in cancellation of the booking, with applicable cancellation fees or administrative charges applied.

5. Travel Documents

Guests are responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport (minimum six months validity beyond final travel date).

Guests are solely responsible for obtaining all visas, permits, and vaccination certificates required for their itinerary.

FAMBUL GLOBAL accepts no liability for denied boarding, entry refusals, or costs arising from incomplete or defective documentation.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@fambulglobal.com.

All refunds are calculated from the total price paid. Refunds are issued according to the following schedule:

  • More than 90 days before trip start date: 80% refund (minus a $100 administrative and banking processing fee)
  • 60 to 89 days before trip start date: 50% refund (minus a $100 administrative and banking processing fee)
  • Less than 60 days before trip start date: No refund
  • No-shows or early departures: No refund

7. Missed or Unused Portions of the Trip

Late arrivals or early departures will not be refunded. If a guest is delayed, FAMBUL GLOBAL will make every effort to help them rejoin the group itinerary, but any additional transport, lodging, or logistical costs are the guest’s responsibility.

If a guest chooses not to participate in an activity or becomes unable to do so (illness, fatigue, personal choice), no alternative or refund will be provided. Guests are welcome to rest at the hotel until the group returns.

8. Mandatory Travel Insurance

All guests are required to purchase comprehensive travel insurance before departure.

Proof of valid insurance must be submitted at least 14 days prior to departure.

Guests without approved coverage will not be permitted to join the trip and will forfeit all payments.

Your policy must include at minimum:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption

  • Emergency medical treatment

  • Medical evacuation and repatriation: minimum USD 200,000 per person coverage

  • Personal liability

  • Baggage loss or delay

  • Coverage for force majeure disruptions

9. Medical Forms and Special Requirements

Guests must disclose any medical conditions, dietary needs, or accessibility requirements at the time of booking.

FAMBUL GLOBAL reserves the right to request a physician’s note for pre-existing conditions and to deny participation if travel is deemed unsafe.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate accessibility needs, dietary requirements, and medical conditions, but availability may vary by destination.

Pregnant travelers beyond 24 weeks may not be accepted on trips.

10. Airfare Disclaimer

Trip prices do not include international airfare unless explicitly stated.

Guests are responsible for booking and managing their own flights.

FAMBUL GLOBAL is not liable for airline delays, cancellations, missed connections, or lost baggage.

Non-refundable tickets, schedule changes, or disruptions caused by airlines are the sole responsibility of the guest.

11. Changes by Guest

Requests to change room type, upgrade services, or transfer bookings must be submitted in writing.

All changes are subject to availability, fees, and approval.

12. Changes by FAMBUL GLOBAL

We may make reasonable changes to itineraries due to vendor cancellations, weather, safety concerns, or operational limitations. Equivalent alternatives will be substituted where possible. No refunds will be issued for itinerary substitutions beyond our control.

13. Extras and Third-Party Services

“Extras” (e.g. spa visits, nightlife, personal excursions, or services not explicitly included in the published itinerary) do not form part of the official package. FAMBUL GLOBAL accepts no liability for extras, even when facilitated by our staff or partners.

14. Contingency Protocols

To minimize disruptions, FAMBUL GLOBAL has the following backup measures:

  • Late Arrival: Support will be provided to help guests rejoin the group. Core activities will not be delayed or repeated.
  • Vendor No-Show: Backup providers are pre-identified for key experiences.
  • Weather Disruption: Indoor or alternate activities will be arranged where possible.
  • Civil Unrest: The itinerary will be rerouted to safer areas, with local lockdown protocols enacted if necessary.
  • Medical or Safety Emergencies: Local clinics will be identified in advance. Trip leaders carry emergency contacts and basic first-aid.
  • Transport Issues: We partner only with providers who maintain contingency plans for breakdowns.

15. Guest Conduct, Local Laws and Respectful Travel

At FAMBUL GLOBAL, we believe meaningful travel requires mutual respect for the people we meet, the places we visit, and the group we travel with. By joining a FAMBUL GLOBAL experience, you agree to:

  • Treat local communities, fellow guests, hosts, and staff with courtesy and care.
  • Avoid behavior that is unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful to others.
  • Follow the laws and cultural norms of the destination, including those related to personal interactions, public behavior, and restricted substances.
  • Abide by trip guidance from your FAMBUL GLOBAL trip lead and team.
  • Guests are responsible for familiarizing themselves with local customs and laws. What may feel normal at home can carry serious consequences in a different context.
  • If a guest’s conduct puts themselves, others, or the trip at risk, we may issue a formal warning or, in serious cases, remove the guest from the experience without refund. Removal decisions are made by the onsite trip lead in consultation with the FAMBUL GLOBAL team and are final.

16. Liability and Risk Acknowledgment

International group travel involves inherent risks, including uneven terrain, limited medical care, and lower local safety standards.

By booking, you accept these risks and agree that:

  • You are responsible for your health, safety, and belongings.
  • FAMBUL GLOBAL is not liable for third-party vendor actions or omissions.
  • Liability is capped at the total trip price paid (excluding insurance premiums and administrative fees).

This limitation does not apply to liability arising from gross negligence, willful misconduct, or violations of applicable law.

17. Force Majeure

Events outside our control (natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, border closures, public health emergencies) may cause disruptions.

In such cases, FAMBUL GLOBAL will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the trip or issue a future travel credit. Guests must recover direct losses through their travel insurance provider.

18. Complaints and Claims

Complaints must be raised immediately with the trip lead so we can attempt to resolve the issue.

Formal written complaints must be submitted within 60 days of trip completion. Claims received after this period will not be accepted.

19. Use of Image and Media

Guests may consent to photos or videos taken during the trip being used for FAMBUL GLOBAL marketing by selecting the opt-in option during booking. Guests who decline will not appear in promotional materials.

20. Data and Communications

We collect and store personal data only for booking and trip coordination. Data will not be sold or shared for marketing purposes. Communications may be sent via WhatsApp, text message, iMessage or email.

Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with New York law and applicable global data-protection standards.

21. Refusal of Service

FAMBUL GLOBAL reserves the right to refuse service to any guest, at any time, if necessary for safety, legal compliance, disruptive or abusive conduct, or non-payment of fees. Such decisions will be documented and, where possible, reviewed by management.

22. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

23. Amendments

FAMBUL GLOBAL may update these Terms from time to time. Any updates will apply only to new bookings made after the date of amendment. Bookings confirmed before that date will remain governed by the Terms in effect at the time of booking. The current version of the Terms will always be available at: www.fambulglobal.com

24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of New York courts for any disputes.

25. Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

By booking with FAMBUL GLOBAL, you agree that any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

You may still bring an individual claim in small claims court in New York if the claim qualifies.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive the right to participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against FAMBUL GLOBAL. All claims must be brought in an individual capacity.

26. Acceptance

By booking with FAMBUL GLOBAL, you confirm that you:

  • Have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
  • Accept the risks and responsibilities of international travel.
  • Acknowledge refunds, changes, and liabilities are limited as described.
